2.7 Execute Download and Upload Functions
NOTE: If you are calling a PC5010 v1.x, or if an answering machine on the same
phone line as the panel is set to answer the phone line in fewer rings than the panel,
use the Answering Machine Override feature (
described in section 3.3
).
PC5015, PC5010, PC5008, PC4020, PC4010, PC4000, PC1575/
1580, PC1565-2P, PC1555/1565, PC580/585
To upload the entire contents of the panel, press [F3] while in the System Area Menu.
The PC5015, PC5010, PC5008, PC4020, PC4010, PC4000, PC1575/1580, PC1565-
2P, PC1555/1565 or PC580/585 DUC (Download / Upload Control) Menus will appear
in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Choose “Upload Entire Panel” and press
[ENTER]. If you are already on-line with the panel, communication will commence
immediately. If you are initiating the call, the computer must call the panel and
establish the connection.
When the computer initiates a call to the panel, a connection status window will show
the progress of the steps taken to connect with the panel. Warning messages will be
displayed if any problems are encountered.
After the connection is made, the window will display the progress of the uploading
procedure as a percentage figure. When “100%” is reached, the data transfer is
complete and the status window will disappear.The computer will remain on-line so
that further uploading and downloading may be performed. The connection will time-
out and the computer will hang up after 10 minutes of no activity.
PC5015, PC5010 v2.0, PC5008, PC1575/1580, PC1565-2P, PC1555/
1565 and PC580/585 Using PC-Link
Initiate the “call” from DLS-1. At a PC1575/1580 panel, from any keypad on the system,
enter [✱][8][Installer’s Code][77][Installer’s Code][77].
At a PC5015, PC5010 v2.0, PC5008, PC1565-2P, PC1555/1565 or PC580/585 panel,
enter [✱][8][Installer's Code][499] [Installer's Code][499] from any keypad on the
system. After the connection is made, the window will display the progress of the
uploading procedure as a percentage figure. When “100%” is reached, the data
transfer is complete and the status window will disappear.The computer will remain
on-line so that further uploading and downloading may be performed. PC-LINK
connections will not time-out and will remain on-line, regardless of the amount of
activity.
PC3000, PC2585, PC2550, PC2525, PC1550, PC1500, PC1150,
PC560, PC550, DSC8400 and WLS900
To upload the entire EEPROM and status of the panel, press [F3]. The DUC
(Download/Upload Control) Menu will appear in the upper right hand corner of the
computer screen. Choose the “Upload with Status” and press [ENTER]. If you are
already on-line with the panel, communication will commence immediately. If you are
initiating the call, the computer must call the panel and establish the connection. This
function will take about 1.5 minutes.
When the computer initiates a call to the panel, a connection status window will appear
showing the progress of the steps taken to connect with the panel. Warning messages
will be displayed if any problems are encountered.
When uploading is complete, the computer will remain on-line so that further
uploading and downloading may be performed. You can now scan the file and verify
the panel memory contents.
